A Goya for Superlópez

El Ranchito has won its eighth Goya for the best special effects thanks to the film by Javier Ruiz Caldera Superlópez. This is the second award that our company wins with this film, since just a week ago we obtained the Gaudí for the best visual effects, and it is the second collaboration between El Ranchito and Ruiz Caldera after Spy Time, who curiously also obtained a Goya and a Gaudí. Furthermore, the Goya for Superlópez has turned our colleague Laura Pedro into a pioneer in this category. She is not the first woman awarded with this Goya, the special effects makeup artist Montse Ribé has won three times and the specialist in optical images Ana Nuñez has won it once, but she is the first supervisor of visual effects that is awarded. From here we would like to congratulate Laura Pedro and the entire El Ranchito team that worked on Superlópez, but we do not want to forget about Félix Bergés and his team for Gun City, which also competed with for the Goya for the best special effects. For us, they are all winners.
