The Héroes de Hoy advertising campaign, in which El Ranchito has participated as a post-production company, has been awarded a Golden Lion and a Silver Lion at the Cannes Lions Festival, closed on June 20. The campaign adds these two awards to the Sol de Oro that they got early in June at the Ibero-American Festival of Advertising Communication, better known as El Sol. Héroes de Hoy unites a group of brands, among which are La Liga, Iberia, Correos, Clínica Baviera, 11811 and Telepizza, to fight against discrimination and intolerance. Their first campaign tells the story of one of the 18 Afro-American athletes who competed in the Berlin Olympics in 1936 and suffered the racism of Nazi’s in Germany. Héroes de Hoy has been recognized at Cannes Lions in the new Entertainment for Sports section, while El Sol was one of the winners in the Digital and Mobile category.
