El Ranchito has won two VES Awards at the sixteenth edition of these awards with which the Visual Effects Society recognizes the best visual effects of the film industry, television and advertising. El Ranchito has won the Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Episode for its participation in episode 6 of the seventh season of Game of Thrones, titled Beyond the Wall, and the Outstanding Created Environment in an Episode for its spectacular sequence of the battle on the frozen lake between humans, dragons and whites. The awards were presented on February 13th  at a ceremony that took place in Los Angeles. Our colleague David Ramos picked up the Best Episode award along with Game of Thrones supervisory effects Joe Bauer, while Isaac de la Pompa went up for the Best Environment trophy on behalf of the other winners Daniel Villalba, Antonio Lado and José Luis Barreiro. El Ranchito opted for five prizes and currently has a total of five VES, as it won one in 2013 for The Impossible and two in 2016 for episode 8 of the fifth season of Game of Thrones.
